Jack Doherty, a Youtuber and Kick streamer personality, crashed his $200,000 McLaren supercar onto Miami highway, after losing control on a rainy day ride while texting.
According to his Kick livestream, the internet star was looking down at the phone in his hand while driving. Moments later, he lost control of the vehicle and slammed it across the lane into a guard lane on the slippery Miami highway.
The stream shows Doherty and his camera person in the passenger seat groaning in pain and crying for help to get out of the wreckage, “Open the door! Open the door!”
In the viral footage, Doherty inspects his damaged, uniquely custom-painted car. The social media star, now shirtless in the video, kicks the wrecked vehicle twice.
According to news agency TMZ, his cameraman, Michael, sustained minor injuries and blood was dripping down his face.
Doherty could be seen lamenting the damage to his car, “All my money’s gone.” He also listed the upgrades he made to the car that cost him big bucks, which included a custom exhaust system and its paintball-gun-splatter paint job.
Doherty purchased the McLaren at the end of last year for $ 202,850.10, according to his YouTube channel.
The Youtuber, however, faced a lot of criticism as people were bashing him for still continuing the livestream even after his camera person was injured and required immediate medical attention. People also pointed out that instead of showing sympathy for his injury, he was more concerned for his car.
