"I can’t look past that"– Mickie James' verbal rant on women wrestling in revealing gear on WWE LFG shakes the internet

Mickie James did not mince any words after seeing a new WWE prospect debut a revealing outfit as her wrestling gear.
Mickie James was part of an era in WWE where women were known more for their stature than wrestling ability. She belonged to the Divas Era, which hardly had any significant opportunities for them and were seen as nothing but mere eye-candy. Witnessing a new WWE trainee take a page out of that playbook, James could not hold back her words and launched a verbal rant that shook the internet.
On the latest episode of WWE LFG, where Mickie James is one of the legends alongside Undertaker, Bully Ray, and Booker T, things got slightly intense. James took notice of one rookie, Zena Sterling, who had changed her ring gear which was much more revealing. While James liked her new look, she reflected on the hard work she and her peers did to change the image of women in WWE. “I like your new gear,” “I lived during the Diva era, and we fought very, very hard to not have to wrestle in lingerie anymore,” said Mickie.
Things did not stop there as Mickie James launched a verbal rant on her for the outfit and called it frustrating to see women wrestle like that. Mickie said, "It’s very frustrating when women go out there and wrestle and all I see is their ass. I can’t look past that—it’s all I see. It’s very distracting."
Lastly, the 6-time WWE Women's Champion made it clear that it was her opinion, as she came from that era where women had to wear revealing outfits and had to work hard to bring a revolution for future generations. “You want to be taken seriously as a wrestler, but you are pretty much wrestling in jazzed-up lingerie,” she said. “And that’s my opinion. And that’s coming from someone who’s had their ass on TV a lot," said James.

Mickie James' remarks garnered a huge reaction from fans online, and she also appreciated Zena's ability as a wrestler. So it remains to be seen if women of today would take Mickie's advice regarding women's wrestling.
