With 8:29 left in the game, Jayson Tatum drove to the basket for a dunk attempt but collided mid-air with Orlando’s Wendell Carter Jr. and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The contact sent Tatum crashing to the floor, where he immediately clutched his right wrist. After review, officials called a flagrant foul on Caldwell-Pope.
Despite the hard landing, Tatum stayed in the game. However, the sight of him grabbing his wrist sparked immediate concern among fans, analysts, and even his mother.

Post-game, Tatum addressed the wrist issue, confirming he "fell on it" but quickly downplayed any serious concern. "Was throbbing for a second, but it kinda went away," he said. He also revealed that an X-ray came back clean, meaning no structural damage was found.
Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla echoed the optimism, simply stating that Tatum was "doing good" when asked about his condition.
