'Maharani' Kareena Kapoor steals the show in floral chiffon saree

When it comes to setting unforgettable fashion trends, nobody does it better than Bollywood’s very own Bebo. Reigning supreme as the industry’s undisputed style icon, she once again stole the spotlight at WAVES 2025, dazzling in a French chiffon saree that exuded pure “Maharani” grandeur.
Decoding her look of the day
For the star-studded event, Kareena channeled her summer vintage vibes and opted for a French chiffon saree from Atelier Shikaarbagh. The mesmerising sheer fabric with statement floral prints in the shades of yellow, beige, orange, and black bloomed perfectly against the vibrant backdrop of royal blue. Priced at Rs 26,500, she graciously rested the pallu of the beautiful drape on her shoulder and secured the other end, exuding a modern ‘Maharani’ aura.

Kareena perfectly struck the balance between old-school and modern-day charm and decided to match the saree with a plain, same-shade blouse featuring sleeveless straps and a deep V-neckline design. Instantly enhancing the look with her minimal choice of accessories, she simply opted for an analogue watch and statement pearl stud earrings, keeping things basic yet impactful.


Hair and makeup vanity
Not overshadowing her outfit for a second, she chose to keep a radiant base and focused on accentuating her eyes. Adding a dramatic touch with eyeliner and kohl, she kept a brown-toned eyeshadow base and further enhanced her cheeks with a brown contour and slight bronzed finish. Defining her eyebrows, she gave a youthful touch to her overall appearance with a nude gloss lipstick finish.

Creating a neat half-hair tie look, she left her back strands open and carefully secured her front flicks. She owned the event with her subtle, mesmerising touch and proudly showed off the prowess of her six yards of vintage grace.
