'HIT 3' box office collection Day 7: Nani’s action thriller crosses Rs 60 crore mark

Actor Nani’s latest movie 'HIT 3' is now doing better at the box office than Suriya’s Retro. Although Retro had a stronger opening on May 1 (Labour Day), 'HIT 3' has overtaken it's total collections in just a week of its release.According to early estimates on sacnilk.com, 'HIT 3', starring Nani and Srinidhi Shetty, had a strong start with Rs 21 crore on Day 1. On Friday (Day 2), the film saw a small dip and collected Rs 10.5 crore.On Days 3 and 4, it earned Rs 10.4 crore and Rs 10.25 crore, respectively. The collections dropped over the weekend, with Rs 3.65 crore on Day 5 and Rs 3.25 crore on Day 6. On Wednesday (Day 7), the film recorded its lowest earnings of Rs 2.15 crore.Despite the decline, the total collection has reached an impressive Rs 61.20 crore in its first week.'HIT 3' follows SP Arjun Sarkaar, played by Nani, who is assigned to solve a string of brutal murders. As he dives deeper into the case, he faces a dangerous gang of killers, pushing him to his limits—both mentally and physically.The HIT franchise began in 2020 with HIT: The First Case, starring Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma. Its sequel, HIT: The Second Case, was released in 2022 and featured Adivi Sesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary in the lead roles.Despite stiff competition from Suriya’s Retro, Sasikumar’s Tourist Family, and Ajay Devgn's 'Raid 2', 'HIT 3' has continued its steady box office run. While Retro drew attention with its star power and trailer, it fell short of expectations. 'Raid 2' has underperformed in the South, and Tourist Family, though a hit elsewhere, isn’t available in Telugu states, giving 'HIT 3' a major advantage.Even as the collections of other films dipped, 'HIT 3' remained unaffected and maintained a solid performance in theatres.
