Actor Lakshmi Manchu recently faced a digital setback after her Instagram account was compromised. But staying true to her witty persona, she tackled the situation with humour and clarity—urging her followers not to engage with any suspicious posts or messages.

"My Instagram has been compromised”

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Lakshmi informed her fans about the breach and wrote, "My Instagram has been compromised. Kindly do not engage with anything that is on my stories."
"If I need money, I will…”
The ‘Monster’ actress followed up with a humorous note that put things into perspective: "If I need money, I will ask you directly, not on social media. Will tweet once I get it all back in order." In another Tweet she added, “Getting a lot of messages that Money has been asked, please don’t engage on my Instagram!.”

Phone number also compromised! - ‘And they got to my number too!’
However, the breach didn’t stop at Instagram. In a follow-up post, Lakshmi shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp message she received from a Nigerian number, revealing that her phone number was also compromised. "And they got to my number too! Wow! This is very scary," she wrote, highlighting the serious nature of the breach despite her playful tone.
