'AA22xA6': Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur to star opposite Allu Arjun in Atlee’s big-budget action film

Iconic star Allu Arjun is all set to team up with acclaimed director Atlee for an upcoming big-budget entertainer tentatively titled 'AA22xA6'. The collaboration was officially announced recently, generating major excitement among fans and industry insiders. With pre-production already in motion, reports suggest that the film’s shooting has begun in Mumbai. The film features three female leads, with Janhvi Kapoor confirmed early on. Mrunal Thakur has also reportedly joined the cast, although an official announcement is still awaited.

Contrary to earlier rumors about Deepika Padukone being in talks, they have been dismissed, as per Telugu 360. Instead, the third lead role is said to have gone to Ananya Panday. The young Bollywood star has reportedly given her official nod to the project and will share screen space with Allu Arjun for the first time. This ensemble cast is expected to add significant star power to the film’s massive appeal.

Billed as a stylish action spectacle, the film is said to be rich in visual effects. The announcement video hinted at a high-octane, VFX-heavy experience, and several renowned VFX studios from the United States have reportedly been roped in to bring the visuals to life. Adding further intrigue, Allu Arjun will reportedly be seen in a dual role, promising a performance with depth and variety.
A massive budget and big names raise expectations.
Backed by a leading production house, the film is being mounted on a massive scale, making it the most expensive project in Allu Arjun’s career to date. With a staggering budget of Rs 600 crores, a significant portion—Rs 250 crores—is reportedly allocated for the lead actor and director’s remuneration. Music for the film will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who will be handling both the soundtrack and the background score, adding another layer of excitement to the project.
