‘Raid 2’ Box Office collection day 16: Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh’s film inches closer to Rs 140 crore in India

Ajay Devgn is back with a bang! ‘Raid 2’, is proving to be a strong force at the box office. After 16 days in cinemas, the action-packed thriller is now inching close to Rs 140 crore in India. A stronghold even after two weeks
‘Raid 2’ has shown impressive strength at the box office. The film had a solid run in its first two weeks, earning Rs 95.75 crore in Week 1 and Rs 40.6 crore in Week 2. That brings the total to Rs 136.35 crore by Day 15.

Now, early estimates from Sacnilk suggest that the film added another Rs 3 crore on Day 16, taking the total to a whopping Rs 139.35 crore net in India.


How were the crowds on Day 16?
Despite being in its third week, ‘Raid 2’ is still managing to draw audiences. On Friday, 16 May 2025, the overall Hindi occupancy stood at 11.38%.

The day started with a modest 5.35% turnout for morning shows, but picked up as the day progressed. Afternoon shows saw 10.87% occupancy, followed by a slight rise to 11.28% in the evening. The biggest jump came during the night shows, with occupancy reaching 18.00%. This steady increase throughout the day shows that the buzz around the film is still very much alive, especially among weekend audiences in the mood for some action and drama.

The success of ‘Raid 2’ can be linked to several things. First and foremost, Ajay Devgn’s return as the fearless officer has hit the right note with viewers. His performance is intense and gripping, just what fans were hoping for. Adding to the fire is Riteish Deshmukh, who plays a key role and has impressed everyone with his powerful presence. Can ‘Raid 2’ enter the Rs 150 crore club?

Even if it doesn’t reach the Rs 150 crore mark by the end of the third weekend, the pace so far shows that it will likely get there during the third week itself.
