Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji make an iconic on-screen pair, perhaps, is SRK's most popular on-screen pairing after Kajol and Juhi Chawla. Rani and SRK have worked together in movies like 'Chalte Chalte', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Veer Zara' and 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna'. And now, as per a latest report, Rani is set to be a part of 'King' directed by Siddharth Anand.As per a report in Pinkvilla, she's set to do a cameo and will play Suhana Khan's mother in the film. The news portal has quoted a source saying, "Rani Mukerji and Shah Rukh Khan have worked together on films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna among others, and are now all set for a reunion. Rani Mukerji has been cast to play the part of Suhana Khan’s mother, and it’s a role which acts as a catalyst for the entire action-thriller in the film."The source further added, "It was a no-brainer for Rani to say yes to Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand’s offer for King. She heard the part, and instantly agreed to on board the film. Rani’s track is the heart of King, leading to the emotional depth."Earlier, it was reported that Deepika Padukone has been locked in for the film, and it is now set to go on floors on May 20. This report suggested that the film will go on floors with a schedule in Mumbai and will be followed by a schedule Europe.
'King' also stars Abhishek Bachchan who is touted to leave everyone stunned with his transformation. The actor already looks quite lean in many of his latest photos which has left the internet surprised.
He is reportedly set to play a negative character in the film. 'King' also stars Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jackie Shroff and Abhay Verma in key roles.
