Parts of human remains were discovered near Swift’s Rhode Island residence
A part of human remains believed to be a leg bone has recently been found near Swift’s Rhode Island residence, sparking major controversy as well as an investigation into the matter, according to news media outlet WJAR.
A call was made to the Westerly police department on May 14 about the possibility of human remains seen in the Watch Hill neighbourhood area. As the police responded to the call, a human bone was found in the premises that is located nearby to Swift’s house in Rhode Island.
What exactly happened, and what did the police recover from the scene?
After responding to the call, the police discovered that there were indeed human remains present at the site. A human bone, specifically from the leg, was found at the scene of the crime. The bone was apparently found approximately "two football fields away" from her residence.
Residents of the neighbourhood in shock
The human remains are being investigated by the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office, as per reports, and as of right now the police have shared that no foul play was discovered in the matter. On the other hand, one of the residents of Westerly, Taylor Day, gave their statement in the matter, that they suspect otherwise.
She also shared that this marks a major form of concern for the society, as it has not been made public how the bone got there in the first place. She shared with the news media outlet that “My mind immediately went to all the theories that are being thrown around. I’m more aware of my surroundings. I don’t go to places that are kind of dim or where I could be alone. Just trying to stay out in public and be vigilant.”
Taylor Swift or her team so far have not issued any statement in the matter. The investigation is still ongoing and will be spearheaded by the Westerly Police Department until further notice.
