With just days to go before its release, the makers of Thudarum, starring Mohanlal, have dropped a captivating BTS video of the film’s orchestral score being recorded — and the buzz is soaring. Here’s why the hype around Thudarum is building momentum fast:
Thudarum brings back Mohanlal in a grounded, emotionally rich character named Shanmugham — a family man whose deep bond with his aging Ambassador car forms the heart of the story. His nuanced performance in a simple village setting is expected to connect strongly with family audiences, reminiscent of his earlier classic portrayals.
The recently released behind-the-scenes video of the film’s score — recorded in Budapest — gives a sneak peek into the grandeur of the music, composed by Jakes Bejoy. The makers shared the video and penned, “Budapest Scoring for #Thudarum. See you in 8 days!.”
Directed by Operation Java fame Tharun Moorthy, Thudarum is penned by the director along with K. R. Sunil. Known for his realistic storytelling and human-centric narratives, which the audiences have witnessed in ‘Operation Java’, and ‘Saudi Vellakka’, there is a minimum guarantee that Tharun Moorthy will unveil his magic this time too.
Alongside Mohanlal, the film boasts an ensemble of respected actors including Shobana, Farhaan Faasil, Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu, and Irshad Ali — ensuring a rich, layered narrative.
Slated for release on April 25, 2025, Thudarum is already one of the most hyped movies of this year after the superstar’s recently released action flick movie ‘L2: Empuraan’ which was the third directorial venture of Prithviraj Sukumaran.
