A strange and comical event happened on Wednesday, May 15, 2025 during a baseball match between Arizona Diamondback and San Francisco veterans. Diamondback chief, Tori Lovulo, became very angry with the conversations made by Umpires. It surprised everyone present at Oracle Park in San Francisco.

Torey Lovullo ejected for arguing then pretends to eject all four umpires

In the eighth inning Wednesday at Oracle Park, the San Francisco Giants were behind the Arizona Diamondbacks 8–6. Two outs, and San Francisco Giants player Christian Koss tried to take second base on an infield hit by Heliot Ramos.
Along the way, Koss ran into Diamondbacks second baseman Jordan Lawlar. Umpires ruled that Lawlar had obstructed Koss. Due to that request, Koss was permitted to remain at second base.
The umpires- Nick Mahrley, Mark Ripperger, Edwin Jimenez, and Nic Lentz, conferred among themselves before arriving at the decision. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo did not concur. Lovullo got extremely upset and emerged from the dugout and disputed. Torey Lovullo was ejected by first-base umpire Mark Ripperger. But before leaving, Lovullo pointed at all four umpires and pretended to throw each of them out of the game by shouting and making the “You’re outta here!” motion back at them. This humorous incident was captured on film and spread virally across social media. The impression was that Lovullo was attempting to indicate to the umpires how he felt by pretending to perform the same thing that they just did to him. Oracle Park was filled with reactions from the crowd, and supporters on social media thought the moment was both unexpected and humorous.

Torey Lovullo concedes he exaggerated but lauds umpires

Following the game, which the Diamondbacks won 8–7, Torey Lovullo addressed reporters. He stated that he didn't get the play when it occurred. "In the moment, it wasn't making sense to me," Torey Lovullo said to reporters. "I thought they were just trying to cover themselves a little bit."This was Torey Lovullo's 22nd ejection in his career and his second of the season. But later, he conceded that the umpires did the right thing. "They got it right," he said. "They're really good. Umpires are good. And I stand corrected."Despite the drama, the game still finished with Arizona maintaining the lead. The humorous incident provided some unexpected laughter to a close and intense game. Also Read: Arizona Diamondbacks Have Revealed Their City Connect Uniforms And It's A Perfect Blend Of Fashion And Tribute
